Smoked Salmon Sushi Burger
This "burger" swaps the bun for seasoned rice and a beautiful smoked salmon wrap. It’s high in protein, healthy fats, and requires zero actual cooking!
Ingredients
Smoked Salmon: Thinly sliced (enough to line your bowl).
Sushi Rice: Cooked and seasoned with a splash of rice vinegar and a pinch of salt.
Avocado: Sliced into thin wedges.
Protein Filling: Canned or cooked tuna mixed with a little Greek yogurt or light mayo.
Mango: Thinly sliced for a touch of sweetness.
Toppings: White and black sesame seeds.
Garnish: Wasabi mayo or a creamy avocado dressing.
Instructions
Prep the Mold: Line a small round bowl with plastic wrap, leaving enough overhang to fold over the top later.
Layer the Salmon: Place slices of smoked salmon into the bowl, overlapping them so they cover the entire bottom and sides.
Add the Base: Press a layer of seasoned sushi rice firmly over the salmon.
The Fillings: Layer in your sliced avocado, followed by the tuna mixture, and finally the mango slices.
Seal It: Press one final small layer of rice on top. Fold the excess plastic wrap over the rice to seal the "burger."
Unmold: Carefully flip the bowl onto a plate and remove the plastic wrap.
Finish: Sprinkle with sesame seeds and drizzle with your favorite creamy sauce or wasabi mayo.
